Tiffany and Nick

November 13, 2008

Another great couple gets married! Tiffany and Nick had a beautiful wedding at the Canoe Club in West Bridgewater. The Canoe Club has a couple of options for photos; a gazebo surrounded by greenery as well as an indoor photo room; and their website site has quite a comprehensive photo gallery, follow this link if you’re interested. What we chose to do though, was photograph the formals of the couple at the nearby Veterans Memorial Park. The park which is adjacent to the Canoe Club gave us the most perfect setting, as well as several option for photos. This couple opted to have Kelly our associate photographer photograph their wedding. As expected she did a great job. I’ve worked with Kelly for several years and am fortunate to have her as part of the team. Her packages start at $1500. To see more of her work click here.

November Nuptials

November 6, 2008

Was the weather totally amazing this past weekend or what? Being a photographer, I’m quite aware of the last weekends of the year in which I can photograph outside. Normally, the first weekend in November is pushing it and people tend to feel more comfortable inside. But thankfully, the temperature was mild and the foliage was wild. This wedding was held at Rachel’s Lakeside in Dartmouth, MA . They have a great outdoor location as well as an indoor location for photographs. For more info click on the link above. Here are a few fav’s from the wedding! : )

Halloween Wedding

November 5, 2008

A Halloween wedding…. masks and all! I’ve been so excited since booking this job. The scene was set deep in the woods, on a camp ground in Connecticut. The ceremony was decorated with pumpkins and gourds… yes they were gorgeous! The trees were a beautiful gold and orange on this warm Halloween day. This was a very unique wedding, with a great couple. Any couples out there planning a creative or unsual wedding, Dias Photography especially invites you to inquire within!

This first photo is one which I’m most excited about, it’s titled Solace in the Storm. What it represents is that quiet comfort you feel after a tough day and your partner gives you a hug or says the right thing. The calm that grounds us in the midst of this crazy world. The world spins so fast; I’m so lucky that I get to experience this not only in my life but in the lives of the people I photograph. In addition, I can photograph them and create works of art. I’ve been offering a free engagement session for couples who are getting married and haven’t decided on a photographer yet. Each e-session is in another interesting Boston location. This shoot was in Harvard Sq., click on the links to see e-sessions in Davis Sq. Somerville, Castle Island in South Boston, Piers Park in East Boston, Beacon Hill, and Boston Common.

Baby Boy Brown

October 28, 2008

This little bugger is pretty cute huh? Just having a baby myself, I understand the need to get photos taken but may not necessarily want to truck on down to a photo studio. That’s why we make house calls! These photos were taken at this family’s home, with our traveling photo studio. If you’re looking for holiday cards, time is running short so book your photo session today! For more info email edson@portraits.diasphoto.com

Fall-ing in Love

October 26, 2008

This engagement session brought me out to the Boylston Reservoir. A beautiful fall day and a couple in love. Like most of my clients, this couple was really down to earth. They’re friendly, happy and have a healthy appreciation for quality work. They’re having their wedding at Old Sturbridge Village. It’ll most definitely be a visually interesting and rich wedding. Happiness or Bust

October 25, 2008

Happiness or Bust is the title of this first image and is my new favorite. I really enjoyed making this image because it’s truly an original. Even for the best of us, it can be difficult to create images that have never been seen before, especially in wedding photography. I also am a fan of the tractor shot which was taken at Medeiros Farm in Swansea. The couple held their wedding reception at the Hawthorn Country Club in North Dartmouth, you can follow the links for more information. I did this couple’s engagement photos and they were just as darling : ) The yellow theme really suited their sunny personalities. A great couple to work with…. congrats!

Check out this month’s issue of New England Bride, page 21. They did a feature on seafood at weddings and used one of my photos! To check out New England Bride click here.
