Baby Boy Brown

October 28, 2008

This little bugger is pretty cute huh? Just having a baby myself, I understand the need to get photos taken but may not necessarily want to truck on down to a photo studio. That’s why we make house calls! These photos were taken at this family’s home, with our traveling photo studio. If you’re looking for holiday cards, time is running short so book your photo session today! For more info email edson@portraits.diasphoto.com

Fall-ing in Love

October 26, 2008

This engagement session brought me out to the Boylston Reservoir. A beautiful fall day and a couple in love. Like most of my clients, this couple was really down to earth. They’re friendly, happy and have a healthy appreciation for quality work. They’re having their wedding at Old Sturbridge Village. It’ll most definitely be a visually interesting and rich wedding. Happiness or Bust

October 25, 2008

Happiness or Bust is the title of this first image and is my new favorite. I really enjoyed making this image because it’s truly an original. Even for the best of us, it can be difficult to create images that have never been seen before, especially in wedding photography. I also am a fan of the tractor shot which was taken at Medeiros Farm in Swansea. The couple held their wedding reception at the Hawthorn Country Club in North Dartmouth, you can follow the links for more information. I did this couple’s engagement photos and they were just as darling : ) The yellow theme really suited their sunny personalities. A great couple to work with…. congrats!

Check out this month’s issue of New England Bride, page 21. They did a feature on seafood at weddings and used one of my photos! To check out New England Bride click here.

Chicago Chic

October 19, 2008

Last week brought us to the windy city to photograph this wedding. The couple was quite the artistic pair. The bride, a beautiful dancer and the groom, an actor, diver and vocalist. They opened their creative minds to me and allowed me to get the refreshing shots that you see here. The wedding was held at the famous Drake Hotel. The staff were consummate professionals and the decor decisively ornate. The photos on the street were taken just outside the hotel on the magnificent mile, Michigan Avenue. Nadine at Fragrant Design did a great job with the flowers. The DJ also did a great job. Overall, an amazing wedding. Congrats to this great young couple!

Davis Sq. Duo

October 18, 2008

I had an awesome engagement session in Davis Sq. with this couple. They were really fun and easy to work with. Their willingness to try different things allowed me to get more creative with the shots. They got several unique photos, all of which were conceptualized the day of the shoot when my assistant and I were scouting the location. I am in the process of shooting engagement sessions in various parts of Boston. I’ve already staked my diasphoto flag in The Public Garden, Beacon Hill, Castle Island, East Boston and now Davis Sq. Somerville which is a new hot spot! If you are getting married and haven’t booked a photographer yet, you’re eligible for a free engagement photo session like this one (only in a new Boston hot spot! : ) There is no obligation, and no purchase necessary. See how I work and see yourself in the pictures! We’re confident that you’ll love working with us… so come and see what it’s all about.

Harborside Hyatt

October 12, 2008

The Hyatt Harborside in Boston was the site for this wedding. This rarely published venue isn’t seen much in local magazines but is really an amazing location for a wedding. It overlooks the arguably most stellar skyline view of Boston. The blueGuava flowers were amazing, among the best I’ve seen (they also come highly recommended by the bride) I fell in love with this pale, bright photo of Calla Lilies. There were so many beautiful photos from this wedding, it was really difficult to choose these few. I hope you enjoy the work : )
