It never ceases to amaze me what’s photographically possible at some one’s home. The photos shown here on the white background were also taken at the family’s house. We have several small backdrops that we can set up virtually anywhere. It’s great for us because shooting in a studio everyday can be awfully boring. That’s why I love taking photos on location, you get the best of both worlds… and it’s much easier for the family.
Traveling Studio
April 6, 2010And heeere’s Jake…. Our traveling studio made it’s way out to Stoneham for this photo session. I’ve been enjoying grabbing what ever elements are available at people’s homes for the photo. The yellows duckies in this photo are the babies bath toys. It adds visual interest to the photo and personalizes it a bit too. He was a fun baby to photograph. I love the photo with the wide eyes… woah!

April 5, 2010In a newsletter we emailed last week, we asked the readers to guess how many website hits we’ve ever gotten. The closest guess without going over wins. Well… despite our staggering popularity, we only had one guess : ( But that’s OK, especially for Amanda H. who won the $15 iTunes gift card. My fiance and I recently watched No Impact Man, a documentary about an author who tried to live with literally no impact on the environment for one full year. It made me think about how we all affect each other, especially in living close to one another. This inspired today’s quote, which comes from the Buddha, it says:
All things appear and disappear because of the concurrence of causes and conditions. Nothing ever exists entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else.
