Harborside Hyatt
October 12, 2008
The Hyatt Harborside in Boston was the site for this wedding. This rarely published venue isn’t seen much in local magazines but is really an amazing location for a wedding. It overlooks the arguably most stellar skyline view of Boston. The blueGuava flowers were amazing, among the best I’ve seen (they also come highly recommended by the bride) I fell in love with this pale, bright photo of Calla Lilies. There were so many beautiful photos from this wedding, it was really difficult to choose these few. I hope you enjoy the work : )
Pretty in Pink
October 8, 2008
Looking for new ideas for your wedding? How about centerpiece cakes! They’re pictured here and kept right along with the pretty pink theme. This couple had a beautiful wedding at The Neighborhood Club in Quincy, MA. They have these great arched windows that make for a great backdrop in your reception photos. In addition, the rain last Saturday made for this unique and quirky photo of the bride coming in from the rain. Good luck to this young couple, may the rain on their wedding day bring them a life showered in joy and prosperity : )
Contemporary, Colorful and in the City
September 30, 2008
The Hotel Marlowe is one of my new favorite places to shoot! It was absolutely beautiful which is why I’m making them my vendor of the month. The decor was colorful and sophisticated with beautiful locations for indoor photographs. They have a park next door for a more natural backdrop as well as a short walk to an amazing skyline shot. [from their website] “Set on the Charles River across from downtown Boston, the Hotel Marlowe is an eclectic, vibrant luxury hotel in Cambridge. The hotel’s focus on “discovery” sparks creativity and celebrates forward thinkers.” Also….the food was gourmet and the staff was on top of their game. For more information click here.

I just finished editing a photo session I had with Samantha. She is a Thai Yoga Practitioner, Kripalu Yoga Instructor and a Reiki Practitioner and needed some photos for her website and promotional materials. She was charming, easy to be around and absolutely a pleasure to photograph. If you are looking for any of these services, send me an email and I’ll get you in touch. We photographed at Piers Park, in East Boston. The late summer sun was setting and created a beautiful side light. Here are a few of my favorites.
American Gothic Wedding
September 7, 2008I’ve been enjoying re-creating classic artworks. I love this adaptation of the American Gothic painting. This was a great wedding. The couple was comfortable, genuine and planned flawless event. A wedding full of joy, love and good times! The event took place at The Red Lion Inn in Cohasset, MA. The stationary was beautiful, and all of the other details were tended to. Here is a small sample of my favorites. The last two photos are credited to our excellent new associate photographer James Lindley. He combines his technical and architectural experience, bringing a fresh eye to wedding photography. I especially love the slow shutter in the last photo!
Wedding Day Tips
September 2, 2008
MSN had an article this morning that may be useful for couples who are planning a wedding. It was titled Biggest Wedding Regrets. Past brides shared what they wished they had done… after the fact. Things like, don’t have a chocolate fountain and six flower girls, or don’t waste your time on DIY invitations. Check out the full article here.

Here are a few of the highlights from our trip to San Francisco & Sonoma. We also want to send a special thanks to Jean Star, Dan, Eliana, Sue and all the others who made our trip extra special. I recently got a suggestion to consider doing more pet photography, what a great idea! For those of you in the greater Boston area who would like to have their pets photographed, send me an email and mention this blog to receive 20% off of your pet portrait sitting.
